Status of industrial company for production and fitting of steel constructions and equipment, 'Metalno' acquired in 1965. Besides producing and fitting steel constructions and equipment, the company started producing arch-steel constructions for mine and tunel support. In that period 'Metalno' was the only specialized company for production of arch-steel support in ex Yugoslavia.
In 1968. 'Metalno' had opened a building-site in Germany doing works quickly and meeting high standards in fitting large industrial workshops and buildings in Munich and Frankfurt. Even today 'Metalno' has its branch-office in Guglungen, Germany.

Unfortunately, the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina reduced development of the firm, which nevertheless managed to survive, working, among other things, for the needs of military industry. In that period, 'Metalno' had a status of public company of important value for defence of Bosnia and Hrzegovina. It is important to emphasize that the plants have not been significantly damaged in war nor had there been a stoppage in work. In 2004 'Metalno was completely privatized and organized as stockholding company.
